NHMF Frameworx, the not-for-profit procurement solution uniquely associated with the National Housing Maintenance Forum, has announced the appointment of two Non-Executive Directors to its board. Andrew Kenny and Mark Coogan, both recognised housing experts, bring significant sector experience to provide independent oversight and strategic guidance as the organisation continues its trajectory of substantial growth since its inception in 2022.

Andrew Kenny Appointed Non-Executive Director

Andrew Kenny brings over 35 years of experience within the construction industry to his new role as Non-Executive Director. With 15 years in general contracting and over 20 years in social housing, Andrew has delivered strategic, operational, compliance and facilities requirements at both leadership and operational levels. His extensive career includes over 20 years at Director level and more than three years at Executive level, where he has effectively worked with and reported to boards and committees.

Andrew’s unique combination of contractor and social housing expertise has enabled him to transform underperforming contracts into externally recognised leaders in safety and compliance. His inclusive leadership style coupled with a commercial approach has resulted in successful management of structures and budgets, delivering high-performing, cost-effective services to customers.

Mark Coogan Joins as Non-Executive Director

Mark Coogan, a senior strategic and social housing specialist, brings his extensive procurement expertise to the NHMF Frameworx board. Currently serving as Head of Repairs and Maintenance at St Leger Homes and as a NED Board member for Direct Works, Mark aims to improve people’s lives through collaboration and effective communication. His comprehensive experience spans both client and contractor perspectives in the procurement arena, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making.

Mark’s appointment strengthens the board’s capability in understanding the operational challenges faced by social housing providers and the procurement solutions required to address them effectively.

Strengthening Governance for Continued Growth

David Miller, NHMF Frameworx Director comments: “We’re delighted to welcome Andrew and Mark to the board. We’ve enjoyed substantial growth since our inception in 2022 with plans for further growth. Andrew and Mark offer significant experience and knowledge which can only help us develop further solutions that are fit for purpose and support our values of offering simple but effective procurement solutions, at a maximum fee of 1.5%. With the rest of the team, they will help us continue our focus on fairness, transparency, and value for clients, providers and communities. Our service is delivered by procurement experts, making Andrew and Mark a great addition to the team.”
